5天4夜日惹+巴厘岛=好吃, 好住, 好玩!

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

To be honest, I knew nothing about Jogjakarta before Konsortium invited me to conduct the recce trip. But when I got there, the breathtaking scenery, cheap shopping/ spa, great food and awesome accommodation blew me away. Jogja is now one of the my favourite travelling destinations. No kidding!

The eating spree began even before we stepped into Jogja.

Another year older. Another year wiser.
Survived another year without much turbulence.
Anyway, I love how the number of candles get lesser and lesser…

From left to right: 18, 0, 1.
This is called “自欺欺人” :D

Thank you everyone for the love and kindness shown.

Salon Reus

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

A lot of people who have met us, asked where we got our hair done. If your hair quality is normal, it’s not much of a problem. Asian hair is supposed to be thicker and coarser so most salons can help you with that.

People of Asian descent have, on average, the thickest and most coarse hair compared to people of Caucasian and African descent.

But if you’re like me, a Chinese with fine hair, it’s not easy to find stylists who can handle them. Thank goodness for the awesome folks from Salon ReUs. Probably becoz Ruby and her team had worked with Kxx Rxbinsxn (林忆莲’s 御用发型师) for many years and thus have been handling various types of hair for a long time, they were able to cut, colour, style and pamper my hair so well.

Totally amused by my hair. Reminded me of a few characters…

A girl’s best friend

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Ask any girl and she will tell you, one of her most important friends, is her hair stylist. Nothing like a good hairstyle to make you feel gorgeous.

I love stepping out of the salon with light, bouncy hair that shimmers :)

I’ve received so many compliments about my hair since the first time I visited Salon ReUs (yala yala… I know you think I’m totally 臭美, but hey… I am only speaking the truth. You can go and check out my Facebook).

To the lovely folks from Salon ReUs, thank you for making me look good!

因为你

Becoz of you… I conquered my fear of the keyboard and managed to play songs like “一千个伤心的理由”,”Pokerface”, “天黑黑” and “新不了情”. Maybe for those who were present, it didn’t sound like anything like that, but yea, we played these tunes. Thank you Hideaki 老师, my keyboard mentor from Lee Wei Song School of Music:

Becoz of you… I had gorgeous hair for the night. She always know how to make us look good. Thank you Ivy, our stylist for the night, from Phase Salon:

Becoz of you… hosting on-air and on site is always fun. Not forgetting the terrific voice and the killer breakfasts that you buy me. Presenting my cohost, Robin:

Becoz of you… the party was a roaring success. To the sponsors, the performers, our SAFRA Radio colleagues and of course our listeners, thank you for tuning in to 883Jia FM and supporting us all the way.

To more wonderful years ahead. YUM SENG!

Hopping mad… in a good way

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

Harry and I were at Gombak Camp for a charity carnival on Friday. We saw the bouncing shoes and just had to try them out. This is called ‘工作之余不忘娱乐’.

FYI, though they’re pretty easy to use, these things really make you work out!

CNY luncheon with TVB stars

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Shihan and I were roped in to host a CNY luncheon the other day. Special guests included TVB’s 马德钟 and 胡定欣. Pity it wasn’t the other Mr Ma, I would have been delirious with joy if 马浚伟 had appeared instead.

You know what people always said about HK gals being really skinny and pretty? IT IS TRUE.

Hong Kong actresses are thin, gorgeous with fair, porcelain complexions. Well, erm… at least we have sun-kissed skin and lots of Vitamin D. *借-口!!!*
